Unfortunately, the chargeback window is 180 days. When the books didn't balance, we found they had been auto billing a card they were never supposed to be using. It failed to deliver $300 of value, so this should have been a dead issue. When it came up for renewal, I paid the $299 for the whopping 10 computers that I wanted to see. They made me rebuy Ignition for my Tablet, which was also iOS, even though I was no longer using my iOS version on my phone. I am one of the original purchases of LogMeIn Ignition for the iPhone. I do believe in licenses at fair and reasonable prices. I never authorized them to even HOLD my card data, nor did I authorize any renewals.įyi.
Well over $1000 of billing going through auto renewal on a card that was used to buy LMI Central 1 time a couple years ago. The numbers were not out align with other ticket sizes.
Just found out the auto-renewed me twice and we never picked up on it because of the other vendors that also bill to that card. That's NOT a guarantee you won't be hit for it again, but it will be a track record that you said "NO, It's NOT ok to bill me!".īest thing I've found is to have the card issuer re-issue a new card with a NEW NUMBER on it.Not just the CVV!! You need to let your Issuer know what's up. I have seen different results from "Am*x " vs "Ch*se " and a few others. It will cause some road blocks and may help, but if they have had a pattern of auto renewing, they will present it and most likely the card issuer will take the charge as being a valid subscription of yours. That will not stop a CC transaction from going through.
